Environmental protection is a main priority and Hotel Casitas Eclipse is the only hotel in the area having an eco touristic project which treats residual waters in an environmental friendly fashion.  We support working in a sustainable manner with nature.

Casitas Eclipse Hotel has always been concerned about environmental preservation.  This concern gave birth to the ecological project:  “Eclipse Ecopark”.  This creative preservation project is beautiful and useful.
The project includes ecological trails and two hanging bridges all made with thousands of recycled tires obtained from many places in the country.  Besides enjoying the walk through the ecological trails, the visitors can observe exotic plants and different kinds of wildlife.  In the near future, trees will labeled with pertinent and interesting information for the visitor.
Within this Ecopark project, there is a mechanical system of water treatment.  It includes de separation of grease, filtration and oxygenation of soapy water ending with recycled water reaching a beautiful pond.  All this process is possible due to biodigestors that treat the water used by the hotel.

Also as part of the project there is a small glass shop.  In this area visitors can watch the way the hotel recycles used bottles turning them into ornaments to enhance the beauty of the described tire trails and into useful objects like glasses, ashtrays, and other objects.

One very ambitious future goal, includes the use of the gas produced by the biodigestors as kitchen fuel.
